The short version
The Round Table does not use cookies for visitors, and nothing that tracks you or shows you adverts.
What your browser keeps
To work, the site keeps a few small settings in your own browser (its "local storage"). They never leave your device unless you are signed in:
- your settings: language, dark mode, which members sit at your board, your Chair, voice speed;
- whether Brodie has already said hello, and whether his voice is on;
- where you were, so you return to the same place (for example, the thread you last read);
- if you arrived on a personal invite link, which link it was.
These are needed for the site to do what you ask, so they do not need your permission. You can clear them at any time in your browser's settings; the site will simply forget your choices.
Signing in
When you sign in, your browser keeps a sign-in token so you stay signed in. It is removed when you sign out.
Staff only
Our own staff pages use one cookie to keep a staff member signed in. Visitors never get it.
